salamnders

in my backyard there are many salamnders!

i was wondering if i could catch 3-4 and keep them in a half water half land tank!!!

I live in Essex County of New jersey and there is a small brook in my backyard!!!

Can i keep them in a sepret reptile tank and any ideas on setup

Chill....in theory, if you set them up right, you could keep them. Personally, I don't think its right to take animals out of the wild. If you like salamanders that much, go buy a tiger salamander or some newt that was probably captive-raised. Leave wild critters be.

they dont sell newts or salis around here a have looked all over the place

Then my advice is to enjoy them in the wild where they belong.

I think it's technically illegal.

But I have to admit, I did that once and it was a bad idea.

They require very cool water, and might never feed in captive care. Also, chances are they'll escape.

i have never had good luck off the internet they always arive dead

most petstore can get salamanders and newts for you. ask for a special order.
