Here's the situation. I had some fish I was planning on selling tomorrow; 3 male convicts, and a female hybrid texas. Now this irresponsible kid can't buy em. I had to drain their old tank to prep it for sale and I temporarily put them in another aquarium, which is to small to house them much longer, just for a week until I could sell em. So now I have these 4 fish that I don't know what to do with. Part of me doesn't want to get rid of em, especially the hybrid as she's really pretty, but I don't know if I have room in my 125 for any of em. My 125 currently has 4 male salvini, male texas, think a male midas, and supposed female GT. This female texas hybrid tried pairing up with my texas earlier when she was in the 125 with him and I don't know if I want that to happen either. I kind of wouldn't hate getting rid of 2 of the male salvini in the 125 so with that in mind here are my current thoughts on possible situations.

Stocklist 1: 3 male cons, 2 male salvini, 1 male texas, 1 male midas, 1 female GT.

Stocklist 2: 3 male cons, 2 male salvini, 1 male texas, 1 male midas, 1 female GT, 1 female texas hybrid.

What could work here? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

get rid of the cons

You may run into problems as the Midas and Texas mature. They could become aggressive towards each other or their tank mates. I wouldn't keep a breeding pair of Texas with another large cichlid in a 125. It doesn't leave enough room for a pair to maintain a breeding territory and avoid fighting with the Midas. In that size tank, I would keep the male Tex, a Salvini, a Con, and either the female GT or female Tex. I guess you take your chances with any breeding pair of aggressive cichlids though. Try what you like best and just make the changes as they come.
