I would just half dose with quick cure. The formalyn will dissolve the slimecoat and the malachite will knock the ick out. Do a goo vaccum afterwards to remove the tomants or cysts. I reccomend half dose because of the loaches.

I have one of those meters also and I have asked the same question!!! It's hard to keep track of the salt w water changes. I couldn't find an answer on google either so PLEASE does anyone kno how to properly read and dose salt with one of these for freshwater??? Thanks a million

Well I talked to the guy at petsmart about it who raises discus and he said that it wouldn't register on one of those meters bc it's to low of a salt amount. Not sure I believe that bc I'm pretty sure from the research I tried to do where your meter is reading sounds right

I doubt there would be enough salt content to register on the hydrometer as well... a refractometer would be a much better option to go with but for just treatment I would do 1-3tbsp of aquarium salt for each 5g of water and replace only what you remove during a water change.
