Picked up what I believe to be Salminus franciscanus on trade today. Hopefully it plays nice. It has been for the previous owner. 5"+ close to 6". Fresh in the tank pics..

Thanks. I have a few tanks I can move it too if it doesnt. Then I can figure out a plan for it long term be it in my possession or anothers. It was with an aro, flagtail and some pbass in the original owners tank. So shouldnt be to big a jump for it. Just more friends to play with.

Thanks. It comes and goes with its mood. I am a big fan of it as Well.

I pulled the flagtail out as it was instigating the dorado. I just want it to hang out with the bass a feed frenzy with them. No fight starters. Lol.. Just hope that when the bass fight amungst themselves it don't rile up Hyde from within the beast.

I tried a salminus maximus with pbass and it did not work out but the dorado was solo before I got him. Iv heard if they are kept with other (non silver) fish from really young they can behave. Im jealous, iv wanted to try it again recently

Pictures? As far as we know, only frankies and brassiliensis has been kept in the hobby. They have been mislabeled as the other species. Brassiliensis is rarely kept as well. On,y frankies are abundant, in the states anyway.
