salt ich treatment

Most aquariums sell salt that is safe. Do a search on this site if you want to get it from a grocery store to make sure you get the safe kind. I can't remember exactly as I just get it from my LFS.

If you want a cheap source, get Water Softener Salt from Home Depot for $5 for 40 lbs.

It's 99.99% NaCl, which is the same as aquarium salt.

Good luck

Main chemical to watch for is Yellow Prussiate (AKA Yellow Prussiate of Soda, Sodium Ferrocyanide). It's an anti-caking agent added to many table salts sold in grocery stores. It can be toxic in aquariums.

If you see any ingredient besides 'salt' or 'sea salt', check it out to make sure it's aquarium safe.
