I've run some of my tanks at .05% for aqs long as 6 months and it didn't seem to hurt any of my cichlids.

Do all fish like salt in the water, or only some species? I've heard cichlids and goldfish like salt, but fish with no scales are really sensitve and do better without. How do you know which species do well with it, and which dont?

I throw a small amount of salt into my tanks every now and then. Just make sure to dissolve the salt completely before adding it to the tank.

dont do that. just pour it it in th tank and let it disolve slowly, that way the nitro bacteria are not affected
