Salt to fresh

Ok i asked about swapping a filter to freshwater from saltwater. I gkt the tank home and got to look at the stand. It is plumbed with a pump not sure what size and a uv steralizer . Is it safe to reuse everything if i clean the uv and rinse everythi g else real good

YES ist no big deal. Vinegar work great for cleaning tanks and filters and with not bad for you tank as long as you rise every thing.
 
It would be ok even if you didn't do a spectacular clean job...just a little salt. Now if it has been stored for years and there is dirt and dust accumulated, then I would do a good job of soaking/cleaning.
 
It was stored for a while but not sure how long the intakes for the fluvals are nasty im gonna try and clean what i can as good as i can and when i get ready to move the tank to my house from my dads ill try and flush the pump and uv good its gonna be at my dads. Few weeks while i get a leak in my roof fixed the latest storms caused.

Thanks again guys for the help. Im gonna put all the filter hardwear and other fhjngs in the bath tub with warm water and vinegar and put the power heads in the tub and let them run for a while then drain the tub and fill ig with clean water repeaT that a few times
