I caught these myself off the coast of rhode island. we get alot of tropical strays up here...but i think these are home around here. i know we have northern puffers and Checkered Puffer. but i just want a 100% ID. thanks!

those look a lot like the bandtail puffer, i'm not sure what the puffer in the second pic is.

I just noticed the distribution DOES say Mass. so i'd say there's a good chance it's a Bandtail
