Is a salt water tank really that hard to maintain?

noop just as easy as fresh, unless you get in to reef tanks then its a little harder but not much.

I'd say salt is the same, but with twice the money for just about everything.

ive never had a salt tank, but im sure that the water changes are quite a bit more spendy. that is the only reason why i dont have one now...

Easy.Salt mix isn't that expensive anymore.

Maybe a little more tough to get going, but once it is up and running, its not as bad as most people say it is.

I've started several, and the most important thing to know is: BE PATIENT!

As long as you take your time, it's the same as fresh, just with a few more chemicals added.

I've never tried it but it seems like it needs more attention to an extent.
