like a few days ago i added salt to the tank and i was just wondering do i ever need to add more? or am i good

you should read this article about salt then http://www.**************.com/forum...on/the-salt-of-the-earth-the-salt-of-the-sea/

just replace amount lost in wc's

yeah, it isn't going to hurt anything when used correctly contrary to what one article says. just do a salinity test every few wc's and bump it back up to bout .2%.

Salt in freshwater aquariums seems to be a very controverisial topic. Some swear by it and some are very against in except for treating a specific health issue. I've read articles for and against. I don't think its necessary when you do weekly water changes. The best thing you can do for your fish is maintaining healthy water. The aquarium salt states on the label that it replaces electrolytes, kinda like gatorade claims. There have been many studies on the use of gatorade and most of the studies have determined that gatorade does nothing more than what good clean water does. I don't know who's right or who's wrong but it seems to be something that will continue to be the subject of debate with many fishkeepers.
