I am in the planning stage of building a plywood tank. I was wondering if it doesnt work out could I just rinse out the tank, change my filters, and replace the substrate, rocks ect. and turn it into a freshwater tank with no possible harm to freshwater species??? I am HOPING with lots of homework and patience my saltwater tank will work out though, but just incase.

I have a standard 120 gallon aquarium inside that has been freshwater, to saltwater, freshwater again, and now cold water. As long as you give everything a good cleaning and a scrubbing things should be fine.

ya i just switched a twenty from freshwater to saltwater to freshwater again. its easy if you clean it well enough. no soap tho. use a couple feeder fish to test it out for you.
