what would be a good length of time to wait before you put fish and coral into a 500 gallon tank with a 90 gallon sump, it has live rock, and sand added????
there's no real number anyone can give you.. every tank is different and under it's own set of circumsatnces..
once there is no nitrite or ammonia t is safe to add fish.. certain fish need more established tanks than others and should be added 6 months to a year after the tank is cycled
not to mention that the amount of water your going to want to filter is going to be to much volume/hour for a 90 to effectively filter. Aslo increasing the amount of micro bubble production which will equal more in the tank. I would consider combining two 90's at least because neither of them can be full, otherwise you will have a flood when you shut the pumps off for cleaning/maintenance, feeding or power outages. Cattle Troughs work great for large system sumps and can be drilled and plumbed as easily as an acrylic tank most times. they are also relatively cheap depending on size.
