Hey Monster Fish Keepers!

I'm a noob member here. I was wondering about the feasibility of a roughly 20'x20' indoor saltwater pond. It would have a sloped side so that I could install a beach on one end. I was hoping to make it like 4 ft deep in the deepest parts.

I have some questions.
1. Is this at all possible?
2. Would I be able to do this using a wooden frame and then pond liners?
3. Would it just explode if I put all the water in? How strong does the structure have to be?
4. Do you have any other comments?

Thanks!!!

1.Yes
2.Possible There is a thread I think milkman built a similar design with wood but not 20'...
3.Also possible...
4. I hope your rich cause the water and salt changes alone are going to cost a little chunk of a big green mountain..

Also I think that would be freaking awesome!!!

Get an above ground pool, hurry they're on sale right now.

Look into alternate sources of salt (water softener etc.) and know your home water chemistry first.

Do you have chlorine or chlorimine in your home water? If chlorine then you can just aerate for 4 days to get rid of it.

Buy a good Master water test kit before you get the pool.

So you want 20x20ft, 4ft at the deepest and sloping up to a beach how much below the surface?
I've drawn a rough sketck on paint to explain myself furhter.

you might have to do more design work. ;)

it could work way not go fresh water and save yourself a bomb . it would be cool with fresh cos you could have plants growing out the water with groups of little fish swim about at your feet .
also where would this be going . cos if i was doin it i would build it onto the side of my house in a large green house . then you could lay in the sun .:headbang2
