I would lvoe to setup a saltwater aquarium is there any tips or information that anyone could give me im going to be turning my 55g into a saltwater so any information would be appreciated, thanks:headbang2

the first two sticky thread on the general salt forum is a good start. If you have any specific questions, try the search option. As far as tips, not quite sure where to start unless you have specific questions. I guess things to consider are what will you do with the 55? fish only? fish with live rock? corals? From there you move to what filter? refugium? lighting set up based on what is in the tank.

Once you get the basics, it's really not that hard. Don't let the biological cycle confuse you either. There really isn't much to it if you're only considering fish. Corals can get a little tricky but I'd start with a couple of "easy" fish. The biggest rules are don't overstock and don't over feed!

Corals are no harder (oftentimes less hard) than fish. Its just a matter of having the right lights, and keeping your h2o clean really.

Give us some more information about what you are trying to do and we will get you set off in the right direction.
