i got my 29 gallon full salt now with only one inhabitant...a 3.5" green spotted puffer. i have a large base rock in the tank (dont know the kind of rock but its very porous and will turn into "live rock" eventually) i plan on gettin actual cured live rock from the store within a couple months so i can get some corals and anenomes. the problem is that i have a plastic top that isnt able to add more light or even space for powerheads. is there all-glass tops that are made for a standard 29 gallon? and is there many corals/mushrooms/anenomes that will withstand the hard teeth and powerful jaw of my GSP?

Not sure about a per-made glass top for a 29 gal. It should be no issue though to go to your local glass co. and have something custom made it wouldn't cost a lot either .

How large is the puffer? They are best started off in BW. We still don't know the long-term effects of keeping a juvie in SW. Is the tank cycled?

Glass tops are available from most LFS as well as the large chains for the standard 29 gallon tank. You can also make a top out of eggcrate and then use the light fixtures with tank stands on the ends...

hes about 3.5-4" hes definately not a juvie...iv had him for a couple months now and ya the tank is definately cycled

I believe the high SG an anemone requires is too high for a BW fish. Try some bad-tasting corals like mushrooms, leathers & xenias. The problem will be, no cleaner crew. Mine picked at the creatures in the rock too.

ya i know there might be a couple things i can get away with like a lawmower blenny for cleaningor sumthin cuz my GSP doesnt like the chase of live foods, except for worms :). but as far as salt content in my tank, its full saltwater not brackish. cuz i seen a very old and very big GSP at a LFS that was about 6.5" and very round and they said the only reason hes lived so long is cuz theyve had him in full salt, plus my guy seems verrry happy in my full salt tank, his colors have actually brightened.

I actually recommend marine conditions for adult GSPs (around 1.020-22). Not the high SG an anemone requires though (1.026).

Ths ones in my avatar are over 6".
