I am looking to do something new. I am switching from a fresh to a salty tank and want to do something cool becuase i will have the time.
I want to use spray foam and rocks to create a coral reef look. I saw this one time at a fish store on VA beach. They took the spray foam and tilted the tank on its backside and sprayed the foam and set rocks in it so they were stuck to the back of the tank like a backround. I was wondering if you guys and girls had any ideas on how to create this look such as :
What rocks? maybe live rock?
what kind of spray foam?
will it hurt the fish?
should i incorporate my heater and filter into the foam?
Also, on another note, do you need a protein skimmer if you have a reef tank?
my tanks a 55 gallon fyi
PLEASE help i want to act fast
