About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my stingray had a goiter. I read on Fenner's website that this is caused by a nutritional and Iodine deficiency so I've been soaking the food in Iodine and offering a bit more variety in the feedings. The ray seems to be in better health and is behaving normally once again, however the goiter is not going down very much. It's not getting bigger but I don't notice a significant decrease in size.

Is there anything else I can do to treat the goiter? If not then I will continue what I've been doing for as long as necessary. Anyone know how long it generally takes to treat goiter with Iodine? Any information would be appreciated.

can you provide a pic, you may have to take it to a specialized vet and have them drain the goiter

I don't have a pic right now but it is definitely a goiter. I'm not sure that there are any vets in Michigan who could perform that type of procedure.
