Okay all, here is a sneak peek of the new (to me) tank. It was originally a saltwater tank. I’m needing some advice on the best way to clean it. I’ve heard water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. My plan was to take the hose and wash everything loose to one end of the tank and very carefully use my wet vac to suck all of it out. My original plan was to fill up the tank, add 2 or 3 gallons of white vinegar toss in 3-4 power heads and wait a day or two. Then drain the tank and with a microfiber towel and a spray bottle start wiping.

What is your all thoughts, experiences or suggestions.

After this I will be sanding, buffing and polishing.

I wouldn't bother with the wet vac. Just take it outside, hose the hell out of it. Then fill it up with a good liter or two of the cheapest vinegar you can find. Let it sit for a few days, then take it outside and hose the hell out of it while giving it a good scrub and DONE.

Might mention that this is a 375 gallon tank. 97x38x24. I know odd measurements but the guy I bought it from builds custom aquariums. I’ve measured it multiple times these are the inside measurements.

I would vacuum the loose stuff out with the wet/dry vacuum and fill partially with vinegar and water or part bleach and water that's if no hard water spots.
Put on a pair of long arm gloves from Lowe's or Home Depot with a durable cloth and wipe inside down thoroughly.

If you know someone with a steamer it would clean that without you scrubbing or wiping and without chemicals.
