Fine with mid-size new world cichlids, though some are outright nuts. I have one that killed 2 firemouths, a small JD and a medium Oscar. Would never get another one.

^ everything they said except males can get closer to 8"+, they do tend to be in fact insane, and expect to pay from $5-10 bucks for a small one depending on your local availability
