“He” looks like a she. Females generally have nicer colors though some males can have a lot of blue or red like females depending on the catch location. But the blotch on the dorsal is why I say it’s a female. That is the sure way to sex salvini. Very nice fish ?

Salvini are a beautiful fish. Yours has very nice coloration. It does look like a female with the vivid colors and dark mark on the dorsal fin. It's one of my favorite ccichlids.
