Yes my salvini have eggs and I was wondering if I pit them.in a.20 gallon tank
with a aerator and heater. would that be fine for a few days until I can stick a filter on it

I personally wouldnt put fry in a tank that hasnt been cycled. Id throw up a divider to keep the others separated until you can at least have a seeded sponge filter in the 20 gal to get it going. With a divider you might loose a few that Wonder but the cloud should stay fairly close to the parents

There in a 125gallon now. id just pull all 20 gallons of water from that tank. I have 5 tanks up and running. I wish I could just pull the red terror festa an flowerhorn out an put in another tank. But there not big enough to go in any of my other tanks. So a divider sounds like a good plan. ****ty part.is the only divider I have, is in one of my flowerhorn tank separating a male an female

Syphon out some of the free swimming fry and leave the rest with the pair. This pretty much mimics what might happen in nature, where your syphon tube plays the role of a natural fry predator. This way the pair doesn't turn on each other, and you still have a fair number of fry to raise for future ventures.

There still eggs at the moment..
But im going to get a tank up and running tomorrow for some fry to go in

I would definitely have the other tank set up and ready. I had two different breeding pair of salvini, and in both cases the male went psycho on the female after breeding so you may have to move her as well. It may be a different scenario with other fish present though. My pairs were in separate 55gal by themselves. You could just add a sponge, and get a cheap hob seeded with media from another filter. I stuff or wrap the intakes of power filters with floss to keep fry out of the impellers.
