Salvini Gender?

def looks male to me, females will have black blotch in their dorsal and a big red patch on their belly and be a much brighter yellow
Thats a young male, even at that size its pretty clear to tell. the great thing about Salvini's are both of the females and males look beautiful 
Hmm I see, I thought it was female because of the blotches on it's cheek and I thought the red and yellow didn't come in for females until they were older. Thanks for the info.
yeah males will have those blotches as well, he should get alot more color as he ages, and even very small females have these characteristics i currently have a female less than 2in and she is very clearly a female with nice super bright colors
I agree with Sarah, I saw a little 2" female at the LFS who was bright yellow and orange, a really stunning example 
good news is if you did want to breed and pick him up a little partner you can tell pretty easily
