Any idea of the sex of my Salvini? About 2-2.5 inches. Thanks!

I’m leaning male with the blue spangling and duller colors.
I'd agree, these guys are allot like red Terrors in the fact that the females tend to be the prettier ones while the males end up a bit lack luster in comparison. Granted nothing wrong with how the males look it's just they aren't as eye catching to me as the females are.
Im thinking male too, a lot of the time the female has a black spot on the gill. I dont think thats a 100% accurate way to tell but is a good indicator.
I’d say male, I’m sure the females only get to around 3/4 inch and should be showing a lot more yellow at that size. I would say that the dish is quite stressed at the moment the photo was taken as it’s so dark. These are great fish, I breed these once and they were so aggressive
Looks like there might be a black blotch on the dorsal, but can’t see it well. If there is op, it’s a female. Main way to tell. Like this..
