Salvini or Cuban for a 55

I want a male of one or the other. What would you do? I would also like a poly of some sort, but that's just me going out on a limb.

I would go with a Cuban.I have a young male myself,bout 4.5".Great fish,plenty of attitude!

i'd go with cuban for attitude but i like the colors of salvini better personally

Get both and grow them out. When they get bigger, decide which one you like, or get another tank for the other one.

cuban although my dad has a real tank of a salvini 8" slight nuchal hump coming on, a real tank. weve also had a cuban pair, in my experiance the cubans didnt really grow much so..

I would definitely get a Cuban over a Salvini for a single specimen tank. A full grown male would be mighty impressive!

I'm partial to salvinis, of course, I have a breeding pair and I love their breeding colors. A salvini wouldn't be as nice as a single specimen. You need a pair to appreciate their full color potential.

Like everyone said go with the Cuban. I always like to start out with 5-6 and keep the best looking male or pair.
