Hey all,
First post to MFK so if I break any rules, my apologies. I have about a 2-year-old Salvini cichlid that has done great in my 240-gallon display tank for quite a while now. Recently, my green terror in the display tank has taken to bullying the Salvini more and as a result, the latter has stopped eating. Today I noticed that the Salvini was having trouble staying upright in the tank. He could still swim horizontally but whenever he stopped moving, the rear part of his body wanted to float upwards. Due to the aggression in my display tank, I moved him to a 90-gallon holding tank and cut the lights. I have attached a video link below that describes what I am talking about. Ignore the 2 African cichlids with him, they are not aggressive and it is just a temporary holding tank. My question is: what treatment would you guys recommend? I have never treated a swim bladder issue before- if that even is what this fish has.
Parameters as follows: (API Test Kit)
240 Gallon:
PH: 6.5~
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 20
90 Gallon:
PH: 7.0~
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10
