salvini tank size

what would be a good tank size for a salvini i was thinking a 30-40 maybe but i not sure cause i just got a bit over 1 incher and i just wanted to know.and the pellets are a bit big i think for him/her so should i break them up in two or 3 pieces like i did for all my other babie cichlids??but salvinis look awsome

male Salvini's can reach 7" in total length . . . I think 29G is a bit small in dimensions, but not terrible.

if you have a choice, I think you're better of with a 30G long . . . the water volume is roughly the same, but the 30G long has 20% more length, which is more important when keeping CA cichlids

a 40G long is even better . . . 60% more length than a 29G
