If theres plenty of cover for all fish you can keep anything together within reason.. I have 2 Salvini, Firemouths, Synspilum, Jewels, Convicts all sharing a tank... There are occasional minor scuffles but the vanquished fish always has a hiding place. My Salvini are below the Firemouths and Synspilum in the pecking order at the moment

The salvini is going to take a few swipes at your fish. Firemouths try to look tuff. More depends on the temperment of the jd
