Very nice sal's buddy, One of my favorite fish to bad they are craaaazzzzy or I would have some in a community, however yours are great:D

That is awesome! Congrats on the fry. How big are the parents?

I have 7 salvini in my 125 gallon right now that I am growing out. I am planning on keeping either all males or all females so I'll sort them out as they grow. I am thinking about breeding a couple of them if I have the space and time. Do you have any suggestions in breeding sals? Tank size? etc?

Ya they can be to much i had 6 juvie's growing out now i think 3 are left the parents and 1 that got moved to a different tank on the first spawn. this is the second spawn there was still 4 in the tank but 1 i don't know and the other i found today.

WOW!!! HE GOT LIT UP!!! :owned:

Batboi3000 i'm know expert i got them in a 30 gallon right now i have had them 2 months. i order juvie's but they came 3" their new tank will be ready end of the month they just paired up and started to kill but your tank i don't see a problem it should be large enough. my plan is to keep them as part of a community

Okay. Thanks. Yeah, I have mine as a bit of a community too. I currently just have 2 other carpintis (texas) and a couple plecos with mine. I would kind of like to put a midas with them in another month or so when they grow a bit more. My salvini range from 1" - 2" they are all pretty tiny yet. That's crazy though if they can breed at 3-4 inches allready though. I am pretty possitive I have a pair allready and they are the biggest sals in the tank. Should be interesting to see what they do. I am thinking of looking for a 30 or 40 breeder for them eventually, but we'll see. Thanks for the advice. Keep us updated on the fry.

This was my fault i didn't have the tank space for these fish so now i got the pair i wanted it just cost me 3 others.
i was missing one but found it while cleaning the tank they killed it and stashed it. here is some updates for today
sorry if to many pics

NICE PICS MAN! Looks great. What are you running for a filter system in the tank with the fry and do you have any substrate? I had a friend of mine give me an old 20 gallon high tank this weekend that I may use once they are ready to start spawning. I would prefer to have a 29 but we'll see. My sals are only about 2" still so they have a little time before they are ready. I have a couple little 5 gallons and a 10 I picked up that I can use for the fry eventually to grow out a bit. Sorry about your losses but congrats on all the babies gained!
