FYI, the San Diego Tropical Fish Society is having an auction on Sunday.

They usually have about 500 items (fish, plants, equpment). Prices are usually really good, so if you are in the area, you might want to check it out.

The auction starts at 6:30, and you can see the stuff for sale beginning at 5:30.

The auction is in room 101 Casa del Prado in San Diego's Balboa Park. The best way to get there is to come in from Park Boulevard on Village Place, which is the first street off Park Bouleverd north of the Reuben Fleet Space Museum. Park either to the right or left as you come in, and head towards the fountain at the Reuben Fleet Museum. The Natural History Museum will be on your right. Go to the other side of that museum, cross the street and you will be at the Casa del Prado.

Cool - hope to see you there. Prices are usually really good, sometimes insanely good, with an occasional exception (like the 10 feeder shrimp that someone paid $10 for - gads).

Now I gotta go catch fish...

so who all went?

Well, I did. I bought a couple of discus, including a large adult Tefe, and some Endlers to keep them busy. Not as many fish or tanks as usual, but plenty of really amazing plants.

A friend picked up some Apistogramma cacutoides double red (an apisto that does well in San Diego hard water). There were several discus, angels, julidochromis regani, and I can't recall what else. They said there were about 400 items auctioned. You would think I would remember more...

Anyway, I had fun. And my tank has some killer big plants now.

Thats cool! When I got there I seen a lot of plants and some really old tanks that werent even cleaned, some guppies and thats about it!I was really dissappointed for it being the biggest sale of the year?I would hate to see the other auctions.
