So ive settled on play sand to change out my gravel. Just wondering what peoples thoughts on which is the best sand to use? i just want to make sure im doing the right thing for my fish.
Thanks

This has been covered too many times.. do a search. You want pool sand, not play sand

pool filter, play sand, black tahitian moon sand, and silica. so many out there. o wouldnt go with pool filter. it is cheap though. what is your tank size?

are you still going with play sand? i say go for the pool filter.

it's cleaner looking, and easier to clean and maintain. ie play sand is cheap, you get alot of different particles. it's hard to clean. pool filter sand is made/design to be safe, bio friendly. but it's all up to you.

K thats what i needed to know. A quick look at pool sand is pretty cheap too ive seen 50 lb bags for like 10 bucks so. Another question is a 50 lb bag good for coverage of my tank?
