Sand advice

So I used well washed white child's play sand for my220 gallon tank and it's starting to get a light brown alga on it will any fish or creature clean it to avoid chemicals

Malaysian trumpet snails will help, but they breed like cockroaches.

Any burrowing fish (spiny eels, etc.) will help move the sand as well as bottom feeders like corys or plecos.
