I've a fairly heavily stocked 100G FW tank running with FX5 (mainly mechanical) and Eheim 2252 internal (with Purigen and foam in).
A friend who uses one suggested a fluidised sand bed filter run off the internal (does 1200 lph). I've looked up on them and seen some Lifeguard Rainbow Lifeguard FBD's which have a flow control valve.

Just wanted to know if people think this would be worth doing and what their experiences are with them-I'm not going to be able to upgrade the tank for at least a year and obviously want the best for my fish.

thanks in advance
