Alright so im terrified of snakes but have decided its time to face my fears and get one because i think theyr awesome, but i want one that stays small and will pretty much not bite and not hurt if it does. Im leaning torwards a kenyan sand boa because of their small size, but what are their temperments like? im thinking i want either the sand boa, rosy boa, or childrens python (ball pythons get too big for my liking, i wana start small). What are these snakes temperments in comparison to each other and ball pythons?(i heard these are super reluctant to bite) Also what are the likely adult sizes of these snakes, and do females get larger than males? Any help is appreciated

Also not particularly knowledgeable...But I would go Ball, definitely.

ball pythons bite from time to time. if its a bite you're 100% avoiding, bp should be out of the question. i've never heard of a san boa bite, but then again i've only talked to a couple sand boa owners.

Terrified of snakes but think their awsome? WT*. you can face your fears by first confronting snakes at your local pet shop. Ask to handle the ones youe interested in and take it from their.

If it has a mouth, it can/will bite if it wants too. Keep that in mind.

You won't be seeing your snake if its a sand boa due to the fact that they live under groud. Great little snakes that don't realy bite but would rather not be bothered by someone picking them up.

Royal Python on the other hand, you will see him/her come out at night and it doesn't realy mind being handled for short periods of time.

In both species, males are somewhat smaller then females. Both in girth and overall lenght.

I don't know a whole lot about western hognose, but the only one I've had experience with (at the shop I worked at) was the most docile snake I've ever handled. If I had the money at the time, he would be mine. I don't know if this is their normal temperment or if this guy was an oddball.
