Sand filter converted to bead filter

How do I do it? I have the k1 media for my hayward s166t. Apparently I need to reverse the flow. Anyone do this before? If so, how difficult is it? Any tips and information is greatly appreciated.

As for what you asked idk but I would just put recycled glass media in it and use it as a glass filter. It will polish and filter your water down to the fine particles, and act as a biofilter.

I've heard of that method but I'm curious to know if it will be as sufficient as k1 apparently is
