sand for bichirs

hey guys wheres the best place to get quality sand for bichirs?

im actually look for black sand and red garnet sand but idk where to get them. this is actuallu my first time using sand as i normally go baretank or small gravel.

I have white pool filter sand a mixed with Tahitian black sand. Very nice mix. Tahitian is a little to light in weight to use by itself.

Petco sells sand under their brand. It's pretty good and very clean. It reminds me of t-grade color quartz. It think it's Estes version of color quartz rebranded.

The best sand that I have found (and use) is super naturals brand. Comes in tons of different colors, and they have it at petsmart, it is more pricey though. The cheapest is either play sand or pool filter sand (home depot and lowes)

thanks guys! idk where to find red quartz sand... but ill probably look into the super natural brand for sand but idk... haha i want to buy sand cheap but really good for bichirs

greg you got any pics of that? right now i have white pfs and was wanting to add black sand but wasnt sure how it would look.
