sand for loach tank

What sand would be best for a clown loach tank? I read that zeolite pool sand is good? Is it safe? Thanks

i use regular play sand and everything's fine. Just make sure to wash them very well before placing them inside the tank.

There's a lot of sand that will work. Pool filter sand is popular. I don't know exactly what's available in Hawaii.

How so? I understand that fine sand is better, as not to injure their barbels ss they sift through the substrate.

I've heard the exact opposite? And it is tough to find sand at lfs here since its expensive to ship to hawaii. I'm thinking sears or home depot may have some sands that may work.

City Mill or a Pool supply shop has pool filter sand.

I use sand blasting sand that's really cheap comes in 3 colors red,white,and black.

Well, i plan on going with pool filter sand or some other cheap alternative. Is there anything i should look out for? Any specific types of pool filter sand i shouldnt buy?
