I recently bought red quartz sand for my bichir tank and have quite a lot of extra. Was wondering if i should add this sand to my currently bare bottom stingray tank. My stingray tank is operating with a OHF and im afraid the power filter will suck up the sand and spoil the motor. And advice on this? And what colour substrate or base will be best to bring out the colour of rays? Thanks in advance guys!
