Sand in my sump

I just recently have gone to sand in my aquarium for A stingray.
I use A wetdry filter I have the blue pad bioballs then sponges over A month some sand has got through to the return side any way I can stop this

better mechanical filtration? more sponges/polyester filling?

If your return is too low near the sand , raising the return would help. Post a pic of tank so members can see your intake, and return to give more accurate advice.

Use filter floss instead of foam. Syphon the sand out of the return chamber before it damages your return pump

It did not work the 1st time so here it is
