Sand is sticking to rays a little....is this bad/normal?

I finally put the rays into their new setup with "natural amazon riverbed sand" with no additives. They are already eating and seem fine but the sand is sticking to them a little. They are able to shake it off but it sticks to the top and bottom a little. this is normal for sand and rays, right?

yes its normal....bugs the crap outta me too!

should be normal.. as long as the sand is just sticking normally and its not excess slime
thats causing the sand to stick. If the ray is "sliming", then you have a water quality issue.
