Sand questions

for the fifty gallon tank can i use childrens play sand or are there other sands i could use?

You can use play sand but it is a pain in the ass to clean. Pool filter sand or sand blast media are better choices because they are a little heavier grain and do not float as easily.

Yes they have the pool filter sand at home depot.

yea you could use pfs or try and gfet some nice landscaping gravel/stones for real cheap that might look better

I use CaribSea Black Moonsand in all my tanks, slightly more expensive but excellent stuff
