If its fine grain sand it does this, if its Pfs you don't rinse it well enough.

I just switched over from playground sand to pool filter sand, settled almost instantly after rinsing it out a few times. Its a larger grain, looks better and fairly cheap too; about 10 bucks/50lb bag. I got so tired of dealing with that crappy playsand, everytime my dorados would get into it, or one of my wavemakers lost suction and tilted a little bit, my tank clouded right back up. It wasn't hard to change over either, just sucked it out with my gravel vac over a span of a couple weeks and dropped the new sand right in (just make sure you kill your filters before adding).

Go to the store buy a water clarrifier and dose it with that and it will clear up super fast or play the waiting game. I'm inpatient myself and OK with spending a few bucks for it to clear up fast.

by the looks of the second pic where its super cloudy you did a half *** job rinsing it if you even did at all.....the first time i used sand i didnt rinse it and it looked like that...if you rinse it good it may cloud for a day but should be fine after that.
