You know those tiny little Sand Shrimp found in estuaries and the surf in the Northeast? I know they can survive in brackish but what about full fresh? If so I think it would be an interesting project for the summer months to catch a few for my tanks. I do nothing but netting at the beach anyway.

I didn't know what a sand shrimp was and I'm bored so I googled it...

Do you mean Crangon septemspinosa?

"Sand shrimps have a great tolerance for variations in salinity. The Franciscan Bay Shrimp (C. franciscorum) ranges from Alaska to southern California, living on sand or mud bottoms to a depth of 180' (55 m). It is 2 1/4" (57 mm) long and 1/4 (6 mm) high, and is similar to C. septemspinosa in color. It is trawled commercially in San Francisco Bay."
