Would play sand from home depot be ok as long as i clean before use obviously, and how easy it it to clean?

youd be fine, its easy to clean, im using it on my betta tank, to test it for the 125. so far its amazing

i think a lot of ppl use it with no complaints. i have found some filter sand and use that in my aquariums. its $8 for 50lbs so jsut a bit more expensive but i like it too

i ended up getting pool filter sand. what is the best way to clean it? I snagged like a large 18g rubber half bucket that you would put like beer in. can i just put the sand in there, put water in rinse it thoroughly and then put it in the tank? Not letting it dry though before i fill up the tank correct?
