So, if i ever put sand on my tank, that has stingrays in it. Would you recommend having an undergravel filter?

Issues I've had with undergravel:

1. Hard to clean. No matter what, if you ever plan to pull it out, the bio stuff it has sucked up, is scattered on the aquarium.

2. Harder when you have stingrays...will sting u.

3. Not advisable to burrowers, they might get stuck there, you won't know it...thinking one of your fish ate them...and it turns out...they've been dead in that place...or stuck

4. Same thing with feeder carcass staying there....

Er so far, I haven't really thought of any plus for undergravel filters...what do you guys think? :D

Oh wait...i just realized...UGF are for gravel...with sand...its going to just slip through it so it would be useless...
