Looking To do a 72' x 36 x 24" Or a 72 x 48 x 24
It will Have:
2 BD Rays
2-4 Azul Peacock Bass
1 Arowana
I can't decide weather to do black sand black tile or gravel. It seems everyone says something different. The only thing that holds me back from doing black sand is that some people say that the rays can choke on it and die. Please Guide me in the right direction
1.Black Sand
2.Black Tile
3. Gravel
Thanks

The only thing that holds me back from doing black sand is that some people say that the rays can choke on it and die.

Can't say I have heard that before.
I prefer sand, the rays do to.

The colour of sand cannot make a ray choke any more than any other sand. But I am certain that sand is the way to go. Watch a ray on sand and anything else (apart from fine gravel) seems wrong to me. My rays spend 90% of their time moving or sifting sand.

Sand all day!!!
