I just bought some black sand for a convict tank I set up. I also bought 4 baby convicts. The sand has air bubbles all over it and its driving me crazy!!! How do I get rid of those bubbles without sticking my hand in and stirring up all the sand? I figured the fish would stir it up enough for them to go away, but I thought wrong. Anyways it looked kinda cool and I got a new camera so I took a few pics :)

dang that muts be anyoning. i'm sure a water change will fix that.

the easiest way to do it is with your hand, it wont hurt you... ;D

You are suppost to stir up your sand every so often anyways to release any gases that can be created by rotting food...

like mystix said, just run your hand through it.. if you do that often you will release the gases.

lol dude its ok...the lil buggers wont bite you ;] like what everyone else said just run your hands through the sand to shifted it around to release the toxic gases from those old waste stuck beneath the sand....or if you want get some snails or something that burrows to help give air in the sand
