My sand doesn't fully sit on the bottom of the tank. It isn't compacted to the bottom of the thank. When you try to push it down, it feels soft and just goes right through your fingers. How do I get it to be compacted?

How long has it been running? The sandbed itself will compact over time given the weight of the sand itself and the water pressure on top of it...

my aquarium was just like that for a few weeks, eventually the sand started to compact I think it just takes time
