Sand?

How long does it take before you can put fish in a tank with sand? I have a 29 gallon tank and I want to get some black sand for it and was wondering how long it would take before I could put my fish back in. LMK

You can add fish in there just fine as long as the tank has the cycled filter.

And you've washed the gravel well.

I assume you're worried about the particulate matter harming the fish. Most fish will ignore it, some actually prefer it. It all depends on your livestock.
