I did alot of research and decided that i m going to get a teacup and motoro pup. My next problem is that i want to use sand. How would I clean the tank with sand! any help would be nice.
Barebottom, sand, fine round smooth gravel it's all a personal choice. If you go sand make sure to only have about 1/4" depth for the pups to start and you can make it deeper when they get bigger. To clean sand just use your gravel vac like normal but go just above the sand so the sand doesn't get sucked up.
i just tried sand for the first time this week with a new setup and i must say SAND LOOKS AMAZING! really though, sand or bare bottom the fish excretement will show. the sand doesn't allow the waste to sink in like it does with gravel. It just sits on the surface, so going just above it with a vac or even raking the sand with a never before used cat pan scoop will get the junk off the surface of the sand. I would only recommend the latter for larger pieces of junk since you don't wanna bury waste and have it burn you later.
I have very fine sand and i use my net i scoop a load of sand up and and sith it out and and crap stays in net. U say t cup iam thinking u are meaning a retic if so retic and motoro pup will be fine for a year and u may find the motoro will out muscle the small retic for food it happened to me and i add to sell the retic in the end
If you want to clean your sand, you can use a regular gravel vac. When you have proper suction going, simply make circles 1"-2" above the sand with the tip of your vacuum tool. This should pull out all of the loose stuff, without sucking up too much sand.
