I am new to this site. Wondering how often you have to clean a planted aquarium. Also, I see alot of tanks have a sandy bottom and I am wondering how you clean it. I have a challangeing tank because I have a turlte in it and am in the process of trying to sink my driftwood. I really want a beautiful tank but am not so sure i can with a turtle. I dont know if he is going to eat plants that go in or not..... Dont know if he will uproot the plants that go in there or not..... I really would LOVE to see some pics of tanks people have for their turles. I do have fish in there with him (that I need to find a home for because they are getting toooo big) and he does not bother them because of his nature (he is SSSOOOO dosile, gentile and sweet!!!!) Looking for ideas if ANYONE can help!

thanks!

alright first things first, what kind of turtle do you have? They tend to eat plants pending on the type, but it can be alright. I wouldn't gravel vack your sand, just leave it and allow the plants to feed off the waste.
